As well, Bunya and Hoop pines grow together ‘in the wild’. These plants that were once ancient, dinosaur-food trees... How ancient is that! BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! There are places to view the starry night sky without any un-natural light interference. Unusual orchids hang from trees and cliffs. After rain, you can find colourful and crazy-named fungi-families such as stink-horns, Polypores, Jellies and turkey-tails.

61 Native Mammals - including black and tan and ginger Bunya Mts Dingoes that have lived at the Bunya Mountains for a very long time. The most common colour of Bunya Mts Dingoes is black.
