Birds of the Bunya Mountains Brochure

This was a collaborative project involving Bunya Mountains Natural History Association (NHA) and Bunya Mountains Community Association Inc (BMCAI).  The Project Team approached local people to share their photos of local birds to create a brochure for locals and visitors to assist in identifying birds when they see sight them in the Bunyas.  

The Brochures were professionally printed using $450 from the closure of Lake Broadwater Natural History Association (NHA), plus $200 committed by Bunya Mountains NHA.  1000 brochures were printed and are being provided to National Parks Office, local businesses, residents and holiday makers to assist in identifying  local birds. The brochures are A3 double sided and fold up. Eighty (80) of the most often seen and heard birds of the Bunya Mountains are listed in the Brochure.  

The Brochure was complete and distribution began in December 2021.
